Hi! Myself Fatima Abbas, recently joined Amal fellowship. Being part of this great platform, a mega project is assigned to us. There is a free hand that what we want to do, are going to do and can do. There could be the different ideas according to different state of arts. Now it’s the time to implement and execute all the ideas, principles and concepts that we have learned so far to solve a problem with tunnel focus for the betterment of society.

In our surrounding there are a lot of things that are needed to get fix by the people. To fix these problems is not that easy but it does not mean that it is impossible at all. In a society, it is quite challenging to analyze a problem completely and then to have a strong strategy and plan to get thing fixed. Here, I would like to give a special thanks to AMAL, that is trying to polish our abilities by teaching us leadership and problem solving skills and by helping us to reshape our concepts and reflections that we have to approach solution for the specific problem.

In a society the problem that should be fixed can either be social welfare work or any business startup. To solve a problem it is necessary to understand the nature of the problem. Here I want to share my experience when I was looking for a problem to analyze and solve, it happened to me to get to the children who were collecting the empty bottles and cans from the trash. By lookin towards them I just felt that there must be a system to make the living and education conditions of these slum children better.

I am aware of the fact that many organizations are already working on the idea but it is also a fact that there is still a wide population who is in need to get all these issues fixed for their better current conditions and future. Peoples in slums lack the basic facilities to meet up their needs and to raise their living standard, so, I decided to visit a nearby slum area to understand the problems pf the people and to have a deep analysis.

All of us have seen such children who are not going to school as they are to work for their family. My idea is to help them basically by providing them with education and some stuff of basic needs that may be old collected clothes, some stationary or some other daily routine items that they may require. Now, the idea is all about to visit the slum are thrice in a week for few hours to teach them me myself, to collect donations from my circles to help them and to build a little team to promote this work in my area.

I know we can not completely change the facts and situations but helping them, even a little, can make a difference and it will also be a great experience for us.
